Tribal bar is open at last for lovers of every sport

The bar is stocked, all of the big TV screens have been polished to perfection and the biggest sporting dates are already in the diary.

Tribal Bar and Grill is finally set to open for the first time to the public today from 9am to 11.30pm after months of preparation - and Hull Live has been allowed a sneak peek before customers ram their way in.

The new Kingswood bar and grill is being opened by Hull FC and Hull KR bosses, Neil Hudgell and Adam Pearson - who have been waiting for months to get the doors open.

The £1m bar boasts 16 screens, (including three above the men's urinals), for customers to watch their favourite sports on. The screens are decked above an assortment of seating areas at all levels, including picnic benches, booths and bars.

You can also hire out an exclusive viewing room and dine in a private eating area located in the upper level of the bar which gives you views of nearly all of the screens inside. Not forgetting a huge dance floor for people to dance the night away after an evening watching some of the best sports the world can offer.

Speaking ahead of the grand opening, Mr Pearson said the bar will show "every sport you can think of from any country in the world."

The bar is the home of a 24-hour alcohol license meaning it will be open all hours to cater for almost every sport. The first event will be held on Saturday, December 1 for the Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury match. The bar will be open until 5am.

In October, Mr Pearson said: "We have put some big TVs in so people can sit and watch. Huge amounts of money has been spent on them and the sound system. It is different to any other sports bar and is right in the middle of Kingswood.

"We have a 24 hour license so can stay open late. The Tyson Fury fight doesn't start until 4am our time and Tribal will be the only place showing it and we'll be putting on a big brunch later in the morning. The food is going to be high quality.

"The screens are so big and the sound system so good it will make you feel as though you are actually there at the fight. It is going to be the destination to be."

Mr Pearson and Mr Hudgell said they are very happy with the way the bar looks and said: "It looks fantastic, we're really happy with it. A lot has been invested into it.

"Neil has been involved in a few bars across the city and you get the taste for it. Sport is a big thing for Hull and it is good to be able to bring all the events to one place.

"We will be televising anything anyone wants on: Football, rugby, boxing, sports from across the world, women's netball and football. There isn't many places where you can stay and watch the game and have great food and be in a safe environment.

"We have been thinking about something like this for a while. It is very exciting."
