These 15 buildings were all sold for more than £1m each in Hull last year

The B&Q building in Stoneferry Road was the biggest commercial property sale in Hull 2018, new figures show.

Land Registry data suggests that a total of 15 non-residential properties in Hull were sold for more than £1m each last year - with three of them selling for £5m or more each.

The B&Q in Stoneferry Road was sold for £11,375,168 making it the biggest sale of commercial property in 2018.

Unit 3A, The Maltings, in Jarratt Street, Hull city centre, was second on the list selling for £5,472,931 in August last year.

The Odeon Cinema building in Kingston Park changed hands for £5.13m two months earlier, making it the third biggest sale of the year.

The Land Registry records the exact details of every residential and commercial transaction in England and Wales.

Nationally, figures suggest that £63.9bn was spent on commercial property in 2018.

The most expensive purchase was for a whopping £569.2m for a hotel in London’s Mayfair district in Stanhope Road.
