Here’s a first look inside a luxury new Beverley store, which opened today.
Luxury lifestyle brand The White Company welcomed its first customers to the Beverley town centre store at 9am this morning (Thursday, March 28).
The White Company has revamped the former Wilko store on the corner of Cross Street and Toll Gavel, which has been empty since 2015.
Sarah King, director of property at The White Company, said: “We knew the location would be great for us after having looked in the area for quite some time to find the perfect spot.
“To see the store coming to life is a pleasure and we look forward to becoming part of the Beverleylandscape.”

The White Company, which has its nearest store in York, sells ranges including linens, home decor, dinnerware and furniture.
This morning’s eagerly anticipated opening followed a preview evening for 250 specially-invited guests.
All 14 staff are from the Beverley area, including store manager Tracey Adams, who is an ex-Beverley High School pupil.
Miss Adams says: "We are really looking forward to opening, the response has been amazing.
"We have had so many people looking through the window it has been like The Deep, with so many people looking in."
The White Company has been producing stylish products, principally in white, for almost 25 years.
With a trading space of 2,766sq ft, the Beverley store carries the full range of The White Company products across home, fragrance, clothing and The Little White Company.

Miss Adams says: "It's so exciting, we have never had anything like this before in Beverley, there's nothing like The White Company on the high street here.
"Local businesses are excited as well because it will bring different people to the area to visit us."
Alan Menzies, East Riding Council's director of planning and economic regeneration, says: "It has been well worth the wait to get a brand with the value of The White Company to come into Beverley, which in itself will attract more people to the town who can then experience all it has to offer.
"The White Company premises are a corner site, immediately opposite County Hall and facing Toll Gavel, which is the main pedestrian area through the retail centre of the town into Saturday Market.
"I am sure they will trade very well.
"Beverley has always been a very attractive market town with a good retail centre and a good blend of quality national brand retailers mixed with family-owned businesses and a very good food and drink offer."

Mr Menzies says the amount of vacant retail floor space in the town centre is about a quarter of the national average, with Beverley continuing to enjoy a vibrant shopping centre.
He says: "In terms of Yorkshire, Beverley is one of the most vibrant market towns.
"People who visit the town for the first time always comment on how busy it is and how low the level of vacant floor space is."
