Short haul move for Grimsby travel agents

A GRIMSBY travel company has expanded into larger premises to accommodate the growth of the business.

Go Cruise and Travel Lounge has made the move within Freshney Place Shopping Centre – having initially been welcomed after winning an Apprentice Retailer of the Year competition.

It recently recruited two new members of staff, Anna Hyldon and Nicky Smith, who each have more than ten years’ experience in the travel sector to handle demand for the service.

Sharon Allen, founder, said: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to upscale the business and the new premises at Freshney Place are an important part of this. We offer a whole range of holiday options and have specialists on hand to advise on all types of breaks including weddings, Florida and Caribbean holidays in addition to cruises.

“For us, part of the holiday experience is the choosing of it. We take time to listen to our customers so we can tailor the trip exactly to their needs, and as an independent business we can sell a much wider range of holidays than many other recognised high street travel agents.”

The centre debut followed the 2015 competition, run by the centre and E-Factor Business. It gave them a free unit for the first six months. That was taken on, and now the move has happened.

Amanda Austin, Freshney Place centre director, said: “Go Cruise has been a Freshney success story, we’re really pleased for the team who have worked incredibly hard to build a thriving business. The centre welcomes more than 11 million visitors each year so it’s a fantastic place for any retail business, whether a start-up or an established retailer. We have supported Go Cruise from their high street debut and are thoroughly delighted at their success.”
