A popular Hull restaurant is opening inside Hull Truck Theatre, giving visitors the chance for food and beverage offers.
Shoot The Bull in Scale Lane has expanded in recent years, providing street food inside Trinity Market as well as the Riverhouse Coffee Co, and has now branched out to the Ferensway theatre.
The new menu is available now, with a full launch planned for the beginning of September to coincide with the start of the theatre’s autumn season of shows.
A spokeswoman for Hull Truck said: “Hull Truck Theatre are thrilled to announce their new partnership with Shoot The Bull, Hull’s homegrown leading catering providers.
“This is an exciting moment for Hull Truck Theatre, following a Year of Exceptional Drama as a lead partner in Hull UK City of Culture 2017. Hull Truck Theatre and Shoot The Bull have teamed up for an ambitious journey inspired by their joint commitment to being welcoming and accessible to all.
“This collaboration between two award-winning local businesses will provide both theatre audiences and the general public with a whole new range of high quality dining opportunities.
“Specialising in restaurant style street food, Shoot The Bull will be providing diners with both a daytime and evening food and beverage offer.”
Shoot The Bull will be open inside the theatre Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm. It will be open later on evening performances and from one hour prior to Sunday shows.
Hull Truck Theatre has unveiled bold diversity plans
Ruth Puckering, Hull Truck Theatre interim executive director, said: “ Having Shoot The Bull join us at Hull Truck Theatre to provide the catering provision is a real coup.
"We're excited to be working with the team who share the same high quality values as us and have a real focus on exceptional customer service.
“The synergies of our two brands make them a perfect fit and we're looking forward to seeing how the new menu is received by our audiences and members of the public alike.”
Chris Harrison, owner of Shoot The Bull, says: “We are super excited to be joining forces with one of our favourite venues in the city. We are an ambitious company and the collaboration with such like-minded people at Hull Truck Theatre is right up our street.
“We are excited to bring a new style of dining to the theatre for pre and post theatre meals along with an offering in the week too. A great range of drinks will be on offer, too, and we will continue to stick to our company ethos of supporting other local suppliers.
"This collaboration will make for an extra special trip when visiting the theatre.”
