By Scunthorpe Telegraph | Posted: 17 Jan 2018

Plans have been submitted to increase the size of a proposed housing development from five properties to 10.

The proposals have been lodged by Shirecare Property Co Ltd for 10 homes to land west of Almond Grove in Brigg.

An objection has been lodged by Brigg Town Council and the application has been called into North Lincolnshire Council's planning committee by ward councillors Rob Waltham and Carl Sherwood.

The application had previously been given planning permission for five homes on the site in May 2017.

Previous applications has also seen the site been given approval for outline permission for five homes in 2005 and full permission for a residential home in 2007.

Now, the town council has objected to an increase in homes proposed for the site.

The planning officer has given a recommendation to grant permission for the application.

Councillors will meet to discuss the application at a planning committee today (Wednesday, January 17).
