Plans could see Scunthorpe pub's land used as HGV base

Plans could see a Scunthorpe pub's land transformed into a base for heavy goods vehicles.

JLT Transport Ltd is applying for a licence to use land at The Comet Hotel on East Common Lane as an operating centre for two goods vehicles and two trailers.

The licensing notice said: "Owners or occupiers of land (including buildings) near the operating centre(s) who believe that their use or enjoyment of that land would be affected, should make written representations to the Traffic Commissioner at Hillcrest House, 386 Harehills Lane, Leeds, LS9 6NF stating their reasons, within 21 days of this notice."

Residents must also send a copy to the applicant at JLT Transport Ltd, The Comet Hotel, East Common Lane, Scunthorpe, DN16 1HL.
