‘For a business to success, it needs to DIE.’ That was the advice given to members of the Northern Lincolnshire business community at an expert Masterclass held in Grimsby.

Business Hive, E-Factor’s enterprise support club, held its first workshop of 2019 exclusively for its members, inviting Copywriter and Author Glenn Fisher to offer his expertise on attracting more customers and having fun with marketing.

Glenn, who relocated back to the Grimsby area after working in international financial publishing in London, gave his top tips on language, campaign planning, and structuring copy, before taking questions from attendees of the sold-out event.

He said: “It was great to connect with so many new people. Since moving back last year, it’s been really positive to discover the work The Business Hive is doing to connect businesses in the area. And it’s nice to be able to help with that.

“Hopefully those who came along were able to take away some practical advice and it gave them some things to think about. And hopefully they had a few laughs too.”

Over 80 businesses from various sectors were in attendance at the Humber Royal Hotel. Chris Lynn, Owner of Chris Lynn Photography, said: “This one has been excellent. The Hive’s Masterclasses always deliver what they promise. Today, there was a lot of common sense and it’s great to be reassured of what we think we should be doing, but there was a lot of advice and practical tips, things that we may not have known.”

Sam Burgess, Business Manager at The Business Hive, said: “This is a fantastic start to the year for our members. We have a range of Master Classes and Workshops planned for both Grimsby and Scunthorpe and our aim is to inspire local business with experts both locally and nationally.”

The Business Hive are really looking forward to its expansion outside of North East Lincolnshire after developing a base of more than 300 members of all sizes, from SMEs to national organisations. Companies from the Scunthorpe area who join the club will be able to access all the Master Classes, Workshops, Networking and Business Support.
