Letting agency's journey from broom cupboard to handling £150m of property

By Hull Daily Mail | Posted: 14 Mar 2019

An East Yorkshire letting agency which started out life in a broom cupboard is this year celebrating 25 years of business.

RPMS Letting, now based in Beverley, has grown from humble beginnings in Hornsea to now manage more than £150m worth of residential property.

The family business is now celebrating 25 years of business, and is hosting a special event on Saturday to mark the occasion.

Jamie Cammish, managing director at RPMS, said “We deliberately set out to specialise in the rental market.

“We know how important it is to offer a trustworthy service: our landlord clients and our tenants know they are our priority and don’t come second to the other distractions a traditional estate agent may have.”

RPMS started out in Hornsea in the early 1990s, when it was run out of a first-floor broom cupboard.

The business’ success led to a move to Willerby, before relocating again to its current home in North Bar Within, Beverley in 1999.

The lettings agency, which is also listed in the UK’s top 20 on Trustpilot in its industry, has in recent years gone from strength-to-strength.

In 2016, it acquired Plum Properties, and has collected a series of awards and accolades including its five-star Trustpilot score.

RPMS also assists both accidental landlords and professional investors with the ever-growing demands of government legislation and the lettings industry.
