A FINAL call had been made for the region’s best bosses to outline success.

East Midlands Director of the Year Awards 2018 is underway, marking the achievements of the region’s most hardworking and innovative business leaders.

New categories this year reflect global business and emerging directors.

Ron Lynch, IoD East Midlands regional director, said: “It is good to see the effectiveness and entrepreneurial qualities of both new and established directors. Business faces huge challenges but there is both talent and resilience in the region and our awards recognise this.”

Entries for the 11 categories of awards, plus the overall Director of the Year, can be made online via www.iodawards.com/eastmidlands. The closing date for entries is Thursday, March 29.

Grimsby’s Sean Ramsden has made it his own in recent years, winning a category in 2014, then twice in 2015, going on to take national glory with Adam Smith Street-based grocery exporter Ramsden International.

Nominations are accepted from IoD Members and non-members.

The East Midlands awards ceremony will take place at a lunch on Friday,  June 8, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Nottingham. Category winners will be selected for the IoD’s national finals later in the year.
