Hull food producer Cranswick is looking for new staff as it kicks off 2019 with a recruitment drive.
The FTSE 250 company, which has sites in Hull and Preston, is hiring engineers, managers and accountants in East Yorkshire.
Cranswick is one of the biggest food producers in the country.
It specialises in pork and poultry products, with its meats being commonly found in some of biggest supermarkets.
A job advert for the roles said: “By joining the Cranswick team you will become part of a progressive business which is dedicated to developing and nurturing your talent through tailored learning and development opportunities.”
Cranswick is looking for a shift manager, commercial accountant and internet reporting accountant to join its team in Hull.
On top of this, the food producer is also hiring for engineers.
For those willing to travel further afield, the position of night hygiene manager is also up for grabs at its base in Barnsley.
Cranswick enjoyed a strong 2018, as continued investment in its operations helped profits and turnover rise.
The company, headquartered at the Sutton Fields industrial estate, recorded pre-tax profits of £44.8m for the first six months of the financial year – up from £44.4m.
Work is also underway on Cranswick’s new world-class £60m facility in Suffolk, which is expected to be completed by the end of the next financial year.
Adam Couch, CEO at Cranswick, said: “We are renowned for investment across the business, whether that is in production, processing, and more recently in poultry.
“If you do not continue to invest, you can see your business deteriorate. A lot of our competitors are finding that, and it makes us fit for the future.”
Cranswick has also recently unveiled its new £27m continental foods facility in Lancashire, and is continuing to invest heavily in its pork and poultry operations.
