A Hull creative marketing firm has cemented its future with a pair of major appointments.

Hull-based creative marketing agency, StrawberryToo, has announced Jessica Clark as its new creative director.

The move has seen current creative director Jade Woodfield move onto parent company Strawberry in the role of account manager.

The appointment marks the next phase in the development of StrawberryToo, which was set up in the Maltings in Hull city centre by local marketing agency, Strawberry, to employ, train and mentor local creative talent.

Ms Clark said: “It’s a big step in my career but I am ready. From working closely with Jade over the years, I’ve learned so much and I’m excited to take on some new challenges.

“I’m really looking forward to managing a team of talented creatives who are at the start of their careers with an incredible portfolio of clients at their disposal.

“I know exactly what they are going through and how they will be feeling so hopefully I’ll be able to pass on some of that experience.”

Ms Clark has overseen key client accounts at the firm, including Hymer’s College, Boutipi, Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival, Luxe by Hugh Rice and Sessions Spa, alongside mentoring StrawberryToo’s growing team.

Ms Woodfield said: “Jess has made a big contribution to the development of StrawberryToo, and the time felt right to hand her the baton to lead the continued and exciting growth of the agency.

“Just like Jess, I started out as an apprentice designer and gradually took on more and more responsibility until I was ready to take the lead. This is what StrawberryToo is all about.

“We’re staffed entirely by graduates and apprentices, with the clear aim of nurturing the best talent that the area has to offer.

“Since being brought on board, Jess has blossomed into not only a brilliant creative, but someone with a real understanding of marketing strategy as a whole, and a penchant for people management.”

Dominic Love, co-director of Strawberry said: “We’re delighted at the progression we’ve seen in both Jade and Jess, and we’re immensely proud of them both.
