Take a last look at Grimsby’s Ramsdens store.
Security fencing is being erected around the Cleethorpe Road site in preparation for major demolition work.
It began in the new year and the former carpet store has already been flattened along with the garage at the side.
The work is being carried out by Yorkshire Demolition Ltd of Hull.
A team of nine demolition experts have a 20-week deadline to flatten the whole site.
Supervisor Paul Leedham said 99 per cent of the materials will be recycled.
A team of asbestos engineers are currently stripping the Ramsden store of the deadly material.
Mr Leedham said there had already been attempts by people to sneak into the store.

“It is dangerous and people should keep out,” he said.
He said there is 24 hour security at the site.
Demolition work has also gone on apace along Cleethorpe Road.
The former gym, the neighbouring Billy Baker barber shop, a tattoo shop, wedding gown store and Oasis club will also be demolished.

The car park at the rear of the store will be dug up.
A specialist demolition machine with giant claws will be brought in to cut down the main store.
All the brick materials will then be used to create foundations for the forthcoming shopping arcade which is due to be in a quadrangle.

The large development will generate 64,000 square feet of retail and leisure space, and was rubber stamped for construction following a two-year planning process in November.
Hull-based regeneration group Wykeland is fronting the redevelopment of the site, which will include 13 retail outlets, parking for 214 cars and facilities for disabled people and cyclists.

It is estimated the development will generate around 200 new jobs and millions of pounds of additional income for the town’s retail economy.
Ramsdens closed in April 2016.
