Former actor turns to IT consulting

A former actor is using the skills he learned in drama class to support the development of a regional IT company.

Lee Green, who went to the Sir Henry Cooper School on the city’s Orchard Park estate, has just been appointed as group people director with HBP Systems, which operates from the Priory Tec Park in Hessle, and offices in Scunthorpe.

The new role has been created to enhance HBP Systems’ performance by making it more employee-friendly, more closely involved with supporting good causes in the community, and ultimately winning a place on the Sunday Times list of the best 100 companies to work for in the UK.

Lee has moved to HBP Systems from Trans2 Performance, based at The Deep, where he was delivery and consulting director.

He said: “As part of Trans2Performance, I had been working with HBP Systems for some time on  early stages of their transformation.
