Prestige car sales giant snaps up Audi dealership
The purchase – for an undisclosed fee – together with the outlets at Lincoln and Boston, takes the Yorkshire-based firm's portfolio to 47 and follows the purchase of Hull and York Audi in August last year.
The company operates dealerships selling 20 of the world's most respected brands such as Aston Martin, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen.
The sale comes just under two years after previous owners, Tony Brammall and Peter Jones, built a new 15,500 sq ft outlet at Altyre Way, just off Cleethorpes' Hewitts Circus.
It ends a long relationship with the brand and the town for the pair, who had bought the dealership back six years ago, having sold it when they sold a previous company.
A total of 45 people are employed there.
JCT600 chief executive John Tordoff said: "This latest acquisition provides us with another fantastic opportunity with Audi, a leading car manufacturer.
"From York in North Yorkshire, through to Hull and Grimsby on the east coast and then south through to Lincoln to Boston, we now have a huge geographical area to control.
"These areas are prosperous and have proved extremely resilient in the present economic climate.
"The three new dealerships are all very successful and the teams in place have a wealth of experience and expertise."
The name Grimsby Audi will remain for the full service franchise.
