Minister praises new hotel
Tobais Ellwood MP - shadow minister for culture, media and sport, was star guest at the lush independent investment that will act as a gateway to the Wolds, while providing a high class corporate offer and a welcome wedding venue.
The £500,000 development by husband and wife team Matt and Angela Durrant was completed in November, as reported, and with healthy forward bookings, champagne corks were popping in the picturesque village of Ashby-cum-Fenby.
Having initially begun life as a restaurant, it has been developed substantially over the past 16 years, from a caravan in a barn behind the restaurant that was briefly home, to a boutique hotel second-to-none.
Mr Ellwood, a Conservative MP for Bournemouth, told the couple, and invited guests made up of friends and suppliers: "It is a fantastic job you have done here.
"I have the privilege of seeing amazing places trying to regenerate themselves and it is a real pleasure to come to the opening of Hall Farm."
Read more of his comments, and find out what Mr Durrant had to say about his wife's input, in today's Grimsby Telegraph.
