A solicitor with wind in his sails

LAW: Geoff Phillips, a real-estate solicitor with Hull's Andrew Jackson, has embarked on an intensive two-week sailing expedition as a volunteer on the Cat.Zero yacht.

Geoff, who has been sailing since the age of eight, is working in teams with young people from the project to sail the 72ft craft non-stop in four-hour shifts.

Geoff's involvement began when Andrew Jackson provided Cat.Zero with free legal advice for the organisation's new premises in Humber Dock Street.

He said: "This is a challenge for the young people, but the overall aim is to develop their self-esteem, confidence and belief as they take on the responsibility of sailing the yacht."
